The Dalke is a tributary. For Gütersloh, however, it is a major asset: a miniature wonderland of floodplains, islands, wetlands, wild banks and sandy beaches.

This highly diverse landscape is the result of a comprehensive renaturation program undertaken by the city of Gütersloh. The illustrated book provides an impression of the dedication behind it. Above all, its 126 photographs invite readers to embark on a journey of discovery.
