Besides remnants of the city wall and Büscher's Mill, the rear facades of buildings at Kreuzstraße 38, 40, and 42 can be seen on the left. Beneath the first floor of building number 40 (visible to the left of the gas lamp) is the connecting passage between Kreuzstraße and Nebelswall – known locally as the "cannon barrel."
